1967 - What an odd year, another solid batch of episodes from the series were broadcast ensuring the show continued to take advantage of the popularity of what is now the essecence of British Cult TV. Roger Moore continued to go from strength to strength pushing Simon Templar into a new era, but one which would see only one more major run of the show. The US was assalting television with Star Trek, which had exploded the year previously. In other areas, the 6 day war - one of many Arab-Isreli conflicts - ended with Isreal taking control of the West Bank and Gaza Strip. King Constantine II of Greece was overthrown, whilst the US and USSR signed the Nuclear NonProliferation Treaty at the ehight of the Cold War. 'Che' Guevara died this year, in which Qwarks and Pulsars were added to our PHysics vocabulary and the first heart transplant was successfully completed. In non-political circles, we see the birth of ROllign Stone magazine and a phase which would see the launch of a multitude of specialist papers and monthlies. In film, The Graduate effectively launched Dustin Hoffman's career, Paul Newman re-affirmed his status with Cool Hand Luke and Warren Beattie produced a long remembered performance in Bonnie and Clyde. With respect to music The Beatles produced and released Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - an instant favourite and classic for everyone to own. Finally, the 17 episodes of 1967:
